Hello and welcome to my portfolio! My name’s Amanda Saddington: library lover, website developer, and passionate lifelong learner.
As the Library Systems, Innovation & Technology Librarian at Kingston Libraries, my role exists mostly in the digital space maintaining our online presence. Recently, however, I have taken up a secondment position as the Website Project Manager for the broader City of Kingston.
In December 2022, I graduated with Distinction from the Bachelor of Information Studies (Librarianship) course at Charles Sturt Univsersity. Additionally, I was a proud recipient of the Australian Library & Information Association (ALIA) Student Award.
I am deeply passionate about both libraries and websites. The former for the opportunities (often transformative) they provide our communities; the latter for their ability to overcome physical, linguistical, and geographical challenges, making resources and services more accessible to all.
